Heartfelt thanks to all the parent volunteers for making PYP Exhibition at IISH a great success :) :) :)

The 5th grade exhibition is a significant milestone in an IBPYP student’s life. It was an amazing journey which began several weeks back that involved the students in spending a lot of time researching, planning, writing, and rehearsing for their presentations. With the culmination of the PYP Exhibition 2015-16, for the Grade 5 students of IISH, our students have a great feeling of satisfaction and the boost in their confidence that comes from mastering a challenging task!

A termendous amount of enthusiasm was witnessed as the Grade 5 parents involved themselves in every possible manner to support the inquiries by all the groups.

Ms.Padmsri has been a constant support to all the groups throughout the Exhibition process by being so resourceful and making several field trips, guest sessions and interviews possible for our students. She volunteered to take the students of the Resource management group for field trips and facilitated several interviews that includes:
  • An interview with Mr P Vinay Kumar, the hotshot Energy Consultant & COO, Greenko
  • A Visit to Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana Government to interview Experts on Water Resources, and inspect Water Harvesting Structures
  • Interview with Dr WG Prasanna Kumar, Professor,  and Ms Subhodini , Junior Faculty,  Center for Climate Change & Disaster Management, Dr MCR HRD Institute
  • On-site learning about Rain Water Harvesting
  • Interview with Ms Kavitha Mantha, curator, Sage Sustainable Living
  • An appointment with Ms.Charu Sinha, ACB Director for the Being Human group
  • Facilitated a guest session on Cyber Safety by Mr.Gopi, Deputy Director, NACEN
  • Facilitated a field trip to the VARP Power Private Limited

The students of the Child rights group managed to collect a whole lot of generous contributions from their local community and the PYP students to be donated to the needy children. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Ms.Kinjal for accompanying the kids with the entire contribution and making it possible for our students to spend a quality time, teaching the underprivileged children and interviewing the faculty to inquire about how this organization help in protecting  child rights.

Mr.Namit Agarwal provided a moral support while the students of the Being Human group conducted an interview with Ms.Charu Sinha, ACB Director, Telangana. He also organized a session on Conflict management and peace , by Ms.Arshia  and Mr.Saleem, faculty  of Henry Martin Institute. It was indeed an interesting and informative session.

Dr.Renuka shared valuable information on Health and well-being with our students. It was a learning experience which enhanced the understanding of the members of the Health Keepers group about the different factors contributing to well-being.

I am grateful to all the parents for being supportive throughout the Exhibition process.
